Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, crime is increasing at alarming rate worldwide due to which many countries have announced curfews in their area to protect youngsters at night time so they do not get distracted. Owing to this, many states in USA has imposed curfew for teenagers and not out doors activities after particular time without gaurdians. In my opinion ,I strongly agree with the notion that young ones should not allowed to outside without any adults during night time.
One the primary reason not allow teenagers outside in midnight ,is due to increasing crime mortality. To explain in detail, numbers of criminals target young ones which can easily targeted for rapes, stabs and also for kidnapping .For instance, according to criminal records published by government showed that crimes are done more at night time compare to daytime which are all missing and kidnapping cases. Another reason to imposed curfew is creating a boundaries between youth and adult just roaming and watching how adult behaves which leads to negative impact on youngsters brain which might divert themselves in drinking habits as well as in drugs addictive .For examples, according to the surveys across the globe has issued that youngsters try and copy to their adults to look cool and to make fame which can sometime be helpful but sometimes it reacts oppositely.
In my opinion I believe that, there should be limitations and control on child to protect their health as well as future which not only improve overall development but also the nation well being.
In conclusion I agree with the notion that curfew can be helpful to teenagers as it limits the access of outside and improves and enhance physical and mental health which creates better human being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of curfews. The ideas are relevant, focusing on safety and the prevention of negative social influences. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the point about crime is clear, the second argument regarding 'creating boundaries' is slightly underdeveloped and lacks clarity in its expression. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the supporting examples are somewhat generalized and could benefit from more specific, logical connections to the main arguments. Overall, the position is consistent throughout the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Owing to this' or 'One the primary reason'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between sentences could be smoother. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion within paragraphs occasionally suffers due to grammatical errors that disrupt the flow of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to convey their opinion clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'notion', 'alarming rate', and 'divert', but there are also frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'crime mortality' instead of 'crime rates' and 'reacts oppositely'. Spelling errors, such as 'gaurdians', also occur. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision in word choice limits the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many states in USA has imposed'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('should not allowed to outside'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and suggest a lack of control over complex structures.
