Student answer (Band 5.0)
In some part of United States curfew is imposed where under age people are not permitted to live their house after certain time unless they have adult with them.I totally agree that, this is the best rule that has been implemented by the nation for their citizens.
To commence with, teenagers are not allowed to go outdoor after some time is because they don't have that much maturity to handle difficult situation alone if something happen in worst case but if they have a adult with them so that they will get enough guidance just because of the experience he carry with him.For example, when I went to NY downtown I was going through the streets I saw a boy somewhere around 12 years of age he was looking for his parents at the time of 11 pm.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required 250-word minimum, reaching only 140 words. Because the essay is incomplete and stops abruptly after the second paragraph, the task is only partially addressed. While you state a clear position in the introduction, the lack of development and the failure to complete the essay prevent a higher score. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full introduction, at least two well-developed body paragraphs with supporting examples, and a clear conclusion. The current length makes it impossible to fully explore the topic or provide a balanced argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using transition signals like 'To commence with' and 'In addition'. However, the abrupt ending and the lack of a concluding paragraph severely impact the overall coherence. The paragraphing is also problematic, as the second paragraph is incomplete. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you provide a summary or final thought in a concluding paragraph. Using a wider variety of cohesive devices, such as 'consequently' or 'furthermore', would also help the flow of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally functional but limited. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'best rule' and 'difficult situation'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'live their house' instead of 'leave their house' and 'experience he carry' instead of 'experience he carries'. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'supervision', 'juvenile delinquency', or 'mandatory'. Expanding your range of collocations will help you express your opinions with more sophistication and clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'In some part of United States' (missing articles), 'under age people' (should be 'underage'), and 'if something happen' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practicing complex structures like conditional sentences ('If teenagers were allowed...') will help you demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
