Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is undeniable that for teenagers, the accompany of adults is crucial in emergency or serious situations for the safety or supervision of children especially at nighttime. I am completely agreeing with this notion that during curfew, it should be important for parents to stay their children at homes but in urgent situations they should be accompanied by adults.
I personally believe that if something big happened like curfew, and some areas got shut down that time youngsters should stay at home with their family. Furthermore, guardians should encourage their children to understand the outcomes of going outside in prohibited areas. Although if there is an urgent event occur, but parents should never allow their teenagers to go outside without their permission.
I reckon that teenage that stage of life where the curiosity is on the higher level which push the children to do adventurous things, but all individuals should obey the government rule instead of going outside in these types of dangerous situations. Apart from this, Parents should look after their children and should try to indulge them in household chores or do entertainment activities therefore, teenagers do not get free time to think to step out from the house.
In conclusion, people should take these kinds of situations seriously even tough in urgent situations parents never allow their teenagers to go out of doors without the adult's company because they cannot deal with danger in their parents absence, therefore, people should follow the rules and give company to their children in dang

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by stating a clear position in favor of curfews for teenagers. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. While you mention that teenagers are curious and need supervision, the arguments could be better supported with specific examples or more nuanced reasoning regarding the balance between safety and personal freedom. The conclusion is cut off mid-sentence, which impacts the overall completeness of the response. To improve, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point and that your conclusion effectively summarizes your main arguments without introducing new information or ending abruptly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the flow between ideas is sometimes mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'Apart from this', but the logical progression is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the term 'curfew' is used to describe an event rather than a policy. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'the accompany of adults' instead of 'adult supervision' and 'something big happened like curfew'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'indulge them in household chores'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more academic and precise terminology. Avoid repeating the same words and focus on learning common collocations related to social issues and parenting to express your ideas more naturally and effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'I am completely agreeing with this notion', 'parents to stay their children at homes', and 'if there is an urgent event occur'. Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage to improve your accuracy.
