Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some areas of united states law has been enforced that teenagers are not Permit to go from their accommodation at night except they have an aduxt with them. I Nodoubt the believe that Nodoubt most under 18 find this rule useless but it indrictly it Provide them security and assist them to stay away from bad company.
To begin, Obviously Teenagers are more safe at home compare to out of their house in the night as when we took glance on news, the majority of crime happened with minors whem they were alone in night like sexual harrasment, kidnapping, money snatching and so on. because criminals get courage when they see opportunity teenagers in night because as we know Kids are more feeble and have less strength to deal with critical sitautions so they become easy pray for stone harted criminals as result imposed the curfew in nights for teenagers is great initiative taken by US government to secure our future generations
Moreover, teenagers do not have insight
what is good or bad for them.
due to their age factor that's why they
need proper guidance because also in
nights they have fear of society and parents but in midnights they feel more freedom to perform task that are rusticted by family and community like taking drugs doing sexual activities, we understand it is not their fault it is human nature we try to perform activities that are not allowed but there fun can make them addicted of drugs for whole life and they can get disease like aids because they have less knowledge about safe sex. so it is there choice what they want to do but it is our responsibility to give them adequate environment to grow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion in favor of the curfew. The ideas are relevant, focusing on safety and the lack of maturity in teenagers. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial and repetitive. For example, the argument regarding 'bad company' is mentioned in the introduction but not fully explored in the body paragraphs. The conclusion is also quite brief. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples or counter-arguments to demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To begin, Obviously' and 'Moreover' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed due to run-on sentences and a lack of logical connectors. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the transition between the discussion of crime and the discussion of teenage decision-making. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several spelling errors ('aduxt', 'indrictly', 'harrasment', 'sitautions', 'rusticted') and word choice issues ('money snatching', 'stone harted', 'feeble'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the frequent spelling mistakes hinder the professional tone required for an IELTS essay. You should focus on learning collocations and ensuring you can spell common academic words correctly. Expanding your range to include more precise academic vocabulary would help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments (e.g., 'because criminals get courage when they see opportunity teenagers in night because as we know...'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for punctuation errors.
