Student answer (Band 6.0)
Safety of citizen is a cardinal part of the nation. In several part of America people under age of 18 are restricted to move freely after particular time at night. However, they are only allowed if they are moving with someone above 18. I will discuss the merits and demerits of this view along with my opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
The benefits of this restriction are mentioned below. First and foremost is the safety of youth of citizen. Nowadays, the crimes are blooming in the America, so if the children of teenage are roaming `with the adult will amplify their safety. For example, lots of rape cases among teenagers majorly happened at the night only as there is hardly any human activities in the rural areas at night. Thus, after above restriction it will decline such cases and enhance the safety of younger generation. Besides this, the youth under 18 are unmatured and became addicted to the harmful substances such as drugs, night party, smoking and lot more. From above law, it will restrict them from such kind of addiction if they are accompanied by an adult. In this way, above are the positive aspects of the law.
Despite the spectrum of advantages of this law, there are few repercussions of the law. Firstly, it will hinder the nation's peace as this law will take freedom of youth moving alone at night. For instance, the youth can either create strike or any riots can happen because of this law. In this way, it will impact the peace of country. Furthermore, it will reduce the morale of the young individuals by restricting their freedom. Then, above leads to antinational activities like terrorism or suicide bombers.
To conclude, the benefits of the above law outweigh their loopholes. Hence, I believe that above law will absolutely make positive impact towards safer and addiction free nation. The repercussions of above law can be solved easily by mentoring and youth awareness about the law.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and provides a clear position. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the benefits are explained, the counter-arguments are somewhat illogical and extreme, such as the claim that a curfew could lead to 'terrorism or suicide bombers.' This weakens the overall persuasiveness of the argument. The ideas are relevant, but the support provided for the negative aspects lacks depth and logical validity, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, ensure that your arguments are grounded in realistic scenarios rather than hyperbolic claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost,' 'Besides this,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Then, above leads to.' Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, with the frequent use of 'above' to refer to previous points, which makes the flow feel repetitive. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations. For example, 'crimes are blooming' is not a standard collocation; 'rising' or 'increasing' would be more appropriate. Similarly, 'unmatured' is incorrect; 'immature' is the correct adjective. The phrase 'lots of rape cases' is overly informal for an essay. While the student attempts to use some academic vocabulary, the inaccuracies in word choice occasionally hinder the precision of the argument. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terms will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'Safety of citizen' instead of 'The safety of citizens'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'became addicted' instead of 'become addicted'), and subject-verb agreement errors. Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often repetitive. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles and verb tenses, will significantly improve the quality of your writing.
