Student answer (Band 5.5)
America is imposing a curfew in its most areas and teenagers must not go outside after a specific time or they should go outside with their guardians. Even though children may not like it, I strongly think that this has optimistic outcome because it improves the children's safety and performance in studies.
To begin with, ongoing curfew keeps the children at homes. If they try to go out, they may get injures or confront some unpredictable difficulties. As a result, by keeping children inside the houses improves the security of them. Also, When children stay in the houses for prolong time period, they may prefer to studies because they may have more time. Consequently, academic performance of children can be intensified, and they can pass with good results.
Moreover, families can spend more time together, and children can get an opportunity to learn about their culture, customs, and family legacy from elders. It is not only strengthens the relations with family members but also reduce the danger of culture extinction in children. To cite an example, an increasing number of families in India choose to narrate stories about the customs and religious to their offspring's prior to sleep which furthers improve love bond among families.
To conclude, although children's freedom is little concerned through this trend, keeping them inside after particularly time reduce the life threating, culture extinction, and improves performance in education.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion on curfews. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the ideas regarding safety and family bonding are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. The conclusion summarizes the main points, but the overall argument lacks the necessary elaboration to reach a higher band. Because the length requirement was not met, the score is penalized as the response fails to fully develop the ideas as required by the task instructions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'To conclude' are used to signal the progression of ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'by keeping children inside the houses improves the security of them.' Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother to achieve a more professional tone.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word forms, such as 'get injures' instead of 'get injured,' 'prolong time period' instead of 'prolonged period,' and 'life threating' instead of 'life-threatening.' While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors in collocation and word choice prevent the response from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'in its most areas' (incorrect article/preposition usage), 'improves the security of them' (awkward syntax), and 'prior to sleep which furthers improve' (subject-verb agreement error). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to detract from the overall quality of the writing. A greater focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage is needed.
