Student answer (Band 5.0)

Restrictions are implicated in America, when there are critical conditions. Although, under the age of 18 children are not allowed to go outside alone at night time. However, if they want to go outside with their guardian or younger brother-sisters when they do some activities. consequently, I will discuss my thought regarding teenagers have lack of knowledge about circumstances of banned the country.

First of all, in the childhood period kids enjoy at night time with their friends and family members. Because, they have no fear of anything happened with them. Despite that they did not know buts the reasons of closing everything for short or long time. If they want to visit grounds and market they always go with their parents or grandparents.

On the other hand, there are several reasons and examples but i explain one, in the covid era, government imposed curfew all over the world. However, government wanted to save the life of people and they applied rules for all of them. in addition, teenagers have less immunity as compared to adults so they easily caught by infections and they harmed . Additionally, i think its a best way to fix a time for outing for kids in that situations.

from above , i concluded that the decision taken by United kingdom was great for saving the health of younger children. Overall, political parties should have right about nations to save the life of all.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. Furthermore, the content is only partially relevant; the prompt asks about teenage curfews in the US, but the essay shifts focus to the COVID-19 pandemic and general health, which is not the core issue of the prompt. The position is not clearly articulated or maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are under-developed and lack the necessary depth to fully address the prompt's requirements regarding the social implications of curfews for teenagers.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or incorrect, such as starting sentences with 'Although' or 'However' in ways that do not connect logically to the preceding text. Referencing is frequently unclear, and the transition between the topic of teenage curfews and the COVID-19 pandemic is abrupt and confusing. The overall structure lacks the necessary flow to guide the reader effectively through the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often used inaccurately. Phrases like 'restrictions are implicated' and 'banned the country' demonstrate a lack of control over collocations and word choice. There is little evidence of less common lexical items, and the repetition of basic words hinders the sophistication of the response. Some errors, such as 'caught by infections' and 'they harmed', impede the clarity of the intended meaning, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement ('teenagers have less immunity... they easily caught'), article usage, and punctuation. The misuse of conjunctions and prepositions is frequent, which often obscures the intended meaning. The lack of control over sentence structure and the high frequency of grammatical errors significantly limit the clarity and impact of the writing.
