Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well here i would like to give my thoughts about the curfew that for teenagers it is very dangerous to be out without adults.
Recently i had seen a movie called purge the move was based on curfew its was a vey eye catching movie it was related to curfew. Seen all the bad things what people have gone through and even the children. Nights are not good for children If possible they should have certain time to get household things but that also with adults.
In some areas government has give certain limit of time which is convenient for children to be out but that also under the guidelines of adults. However if they wish to go for walk they can always be with the family but should be careful. It is but obvious that they get bored in the house and it is difficult for them to spend time but there is always a saying that : precaution is better than cure: so always follow that rules. But However as my point of view government should ne more keen on taking up the challenge for people who does not obey the rules.
They should take action against those citizens who breaks the rules, and just because of them this curfew is done in cities. As per my point of view in curfew all citizens should be properly taken care and they should do patrolling all over the area and even the streets. With that everybody will feel safe and relaxed and even the children can be in the safer side if they are out .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing an opinion on teenage curfews, but the development is limited. While you mention that curfews are necessary for safety, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, referencing a movie like 'The Purge' is not a strong or relevant example for a serious discussion on public policy. The ideas are presented in a general way without exploring the potential drawbacks or social implications of such policies. To improve, you should provide more concrete, real-world reasons or examples to support your position, ensuring that each paragraph contributes to a clear, well-supported argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. Transitions are frequently missing or used incorrectly, such as 'But However' and 'It is but obvious'. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes confusing, which makes the progression of ideas feel fragmented. For example, the shift from discussing the movie to government policy is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to connect your ideas more naturally and improve the overall readability of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. You rely on simple phrases like 'bad things', 'get household things', and 'take action'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'on the safer side' and 'government has give certain limit'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, try to incorporate more academic or topic-specific vocabulary related to social issues, law, and public safety, and pay closer attention to the correct usage of verbs and nouns in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('government has give', 'people who does not obey'), tense usage ('Recently i had seen'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, such as the opening sentence which is a long, unpunctuated string. While the meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the clarity of your expression. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and prepositions before attempting more complex structures.
