Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent time, many small cities and towns are facing lockdown situation, especially young individuals are not allowed to go outside after evening. In my opinion, I partially support both the sides, while that situation can affect their mental state, personal and social life as they will become introvert after a certain time, while this curfew can be helpful to girls as a safety, I will explain few pros and corns for this with my opinion in further essay.
To begin with, We are upgrading ourselves day by day in this modern world while in some areas parents still have that old cultural mentality to be strict with their children. Furthermore, this impact of curfew may give a negative effect to teenagers mind as they can feel isolation at some stage, it affects individuals academic performance as well as social anxiety. For example, one of my friend, he is living in a small town and facing the same problem. Thus, he is not comfortably communicating with other because of that reason.
On the other hand, there are some towns in US which can be dangerous for young children. Therefore, if we see as a safety wise and from parents perspective, this is a good decision and I like the fact that government also supporting this. Additionally, many criminals are going to this small cities and trying to get more money by doing robbery because of inflammation. Furthermore, many raps are happening at night time so for girls it is very crucial to go outside alone at night, while in forest area animals can be an dangerous for someone's life.
To conclude, In my opinion, I always give priority to safety while teenagers mental, social and personal life also matters but safety first. If there are getting a trouble being outside then it is safe to be at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the negative impacts of curfews on teenagers and the safety benefits. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of 'inflammation' (likely meant to be inflation) and 'raps' (likely meant to be rapes) lacks clear logical connection to the argument. The position is stated as 'partially support', but the conclusion leans heavily toward safety without fully reconciling the initial concerns about mental health. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed, coherent examples rather than listing several points briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or misused. For example, 'while that situation can affect their mental state... while this curfew can be helpful' creates a repetitive and slightly confusing sentence structure. Additionally, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. While there is a logical progression, the connections between sentences are occasionally weak, making the flow feel somewhat disjointed in places.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and contains several errors that impede clarity. Words like 'inflammation' are used incorrectly in the context of crime, and 'raps' is a significant spelling error that changes the meaning of the sentence. There is an attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'social anxiety' and 'cultural mentality', but the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on using words that are contextually accurate and avoid confusing similar-sounding terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'government also supporting'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'if we see as a safety wise'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
