Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, being outside of the home is becoming debatable due to many reasons especially for youngsters in United States Of America, Where some people believe that curfew should be applied at night time for teenagers if they are alone. I firmly believe this rule should be implemented for many practical reasons. My reasons for believing this will be analysed further will suitable examples.
Out of all the reasons, the most important one is safety concerns. As in the evening after some period of time wild and danger animals come out in residential areas in search of food. This could be dangerous for children as they attack easily on them. For example, Crocodiles have been seen in the city of Florida at night time. Moreover in the night time, vision gets blurred which can lead to accidents as there is poor lighting facilities in some rural areas.
Another reason is increasing crime rates in the metropolitan cities. Most of the thefts and robberies occur in the quiet and dark places. Therefore people can't ask for help due to lack of security and public mobility. For example, recently, " Times Of America " presents that theft and robbery rates have been increased by 15% as compared to last year which are mainly in quite areas. Another reason for my concern is that teenagers quickly adopt bad habits by their friends. Such as alcohol and drugs consumption which leads to risk for their health and concerns of their parents.
To conclude the above discussion, I totally agree that introducing this new rule of curfew for youth will definitely reduce overall burden of City dweller's Safety and security for the USA government.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding 'wild animals' like crocodiles in Florida is not a typical or convincing justification for a nationwide curfew, which weakens the overall persuasiveness of the essay. While the points about crime and peer pressure are relevant, they could have been expanded with more logical depth. The conclusion is clear, but the essay relies on some generalizations that lack strong supporting evidence, keeping it at a mid-range level of development.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'Another reason', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. The referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. Overall, the structure is coherent and follows a standard essay format.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'wild and danger animals' instead of 'dangerous wild animals' and 'poor lighting facilities' instead of 'poor lighting'. The phrase 'Times Of America' is likely a misremembered source, and the use of 'City dweller's Safety' is slightly awkward. To improve, you should focus on using more natural collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with articles ('in the United States Of America'), pluralization ('by their friends'), and subject-verb agreement ('theft and robbery rates have been increased'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to suggest a lack of control over more complex structures, which is characteristic of a Band 6 level.
