Student answer (Band 6.0)
Government is by the people for the people of the people so goverment should have to take care of their citizens.some area of the United States have introduced a curfew that does not allow teenagers to be outside after a certain time at night unless they are with an adult or parents.i agree with this rule to large extent because it can improve safety and encourage resposile behaviour.however,it should be applied with some flexibility.
Firstly by imposing such strict rule there is some fear in criminals mind.also there are so many criminal activity such as accident, drugs ,stabbing, threft, sexual assualt ,rape, road range mostly occuring in night time by imposing curfew it can be minimize the involving of teenager as victim in crime.students are the piller of the nation by having such rules teenagers are become more attending to their study, mental and physical health as they have to reach at home at certain time they became rule follwers wich is good behaviour for nations growth.if some teenager group have to go out side they can go with adult supervisor which is help full for them and also for society.by having accompanied by adult they think before doing illegal activity like drugs or consumption of alcohole which is harmfull for their health. In addition to this they become more focus on their study and acadamic goals.
Another advantege of curfew is that it encourage teenagers to develop food habits. They are more likely to get enough sleep, arrive school on time, and focus on their studies. These habits can improve both their education and overall well-being.For example, one of my relatives in india always made sure that their children returned home before late evening, and this simple rule helped them avoid any unnecessary problems. however, I belive there should be some exceptions teenagers who are travelling home from work, attendind acadamic activity, some sports activity,or dealing with some emergency conditions should be allowed to be out side if they have valid reason.
In conclusion, a curfew is a practical way to improve public safety while helping young people become more responsible,At the same time rules should be fair and allow resonable exception when necessary. i belive that curfew for teenagers are generally good idea because they protect young people and encourage positive habits.the policy should be remain flexible to consider special situation and gave some relif to young people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by clearly stating their opinion on teen curfews in the United States and providing relevant reasons and examples, such as the anecdote regarding their relative in India. The position is maintained throughout the response. Ideas are extended, discussing both safety aspects and personal habit development, and a sensible caveat is introduced regarding necessary exceptions. While some points are slightly general, the overall development satisfies the requirements for a Band 7 response, as it covers the prompt comprehensively with a clear position and supported arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, supporting body paragraphs, and a concluding summary. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Another advantage', and 'In conclusion', to guide the reader through the text. However, paragraphing and punctuation mechanics show notable faults, such as missing spaces after punctuation marks and run-on sentences. Referencing and logical progression are generally clear, but the mechanical flaws in cohesion and referencing keep this criterion at a Band 6 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'curfew', 'supervisor', and 'emergency conditions'. However, there are frequent word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors, such as 'resposile' instead of responsible, 'threft' instead of theft, 'road range' instead of road rage, and 'food habits' instead of good habits. Despite these inaccuracies, communication is not severely impeded, making this performance fit comfortably within the Band 6 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over grammar with clauses introduced by words like 'unless', 'if', and 'because'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the essay. There are frequent punctuation errors, missing capital letters, lack of spaces after commas and periods, and structural errors such as 'goverment should have to take care', 'teenagers are become', and 'the policy should be remain'. These errors and poor punctuation control prevent the score from reaching a higher band.
