Student answer (Band 5.0)
The Unparalalled significance, of 'curfew' in some neighbourhood of US has got attention during recent time because teenagers are allowed only by a accompanied adult if they want to go outside in the night. Some pepole argue, that this is a extermely important step regarding saftey, other have different view points on this development and consider it unwanted practice.According to my collage of view I largely, agree with this because it can save numerous teenagers from the dangerous situation.
Supporters, of this development believe it will save your youth for unwanted things moreover, with the increasing crime rate in the country has made this worse then ever. For example, in new york during the 2025 twelve thousand cases of armed robbries is registred to the state depertment of police. Also many cases of rape registred which shows the time of crime was choose specfically in night. Now seeing this state has imformed all indviduals not to go outside even to adults if there is no emergrncy.
Alternatively, other tend to decline from all this assumptions they believe that it is the responbablity of depertments to enforce law and order in the city so pepole can benefit equally. For example, extra teams will form regarding this issue and government will put adequate funding to stop the crime ratio. The curfew will effect a negtive prospective in childrens from an early age so we should cope together in finding a long lasting solution.
In conclusion, my opinion is we will not end the curfew instantly but all depertments of state should degsine a security protocol and legislation to reduce it slowly so everyone enjoy outdoor life equally.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by giving a clear personal opinion regarding the curfew imposed on teenagers, agreeing with the measure due to safety concerns. Main ideas are presented, such as the rising crime rates in cities like New York and the alternative view regarding government responsibility. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and hindered by the frequent spelling and grammatical errors. For instance, the reference to armed robberies and rape attempts in New York in 2025 is used to support the position, but the argumentation lacks depth and specificity. The position is maintained throughout the essay, meeting the requirements for a Band 5.0 level where ideas are introduced and supported in a basic manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, following a standard introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is an attempt to use logical sequencing, with transition words like 'Moreover', 'Also', and 'Alternatively' used to signal shifts in arguments. However, the flow is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing, run-on structures, and mechanical cohesive devices. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Supporters of this development believe it will save your youth for unwanted things moreover, with the increasing crime rate...'. Paragraphing is present, but the overall progression of ideas feels disjointed, placing the response firmly at a Band 5.0 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The lexical resource is limited and heavily impacted by spelling and word-choice errors. The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'unparalalled significance', 'extermely', 'saftey', 'collage of view', 'depertments', 'specfically', 'indviduals', 'responbablity', and 'pepole'. Many words are misspelled throughout the text, which strains the reader. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic topic of safety and curfews, the density of lexical errors prevents the score from rising above Band 4.5 or 5.0. To improve, the student needs to focus heavily on basic spelling rules and precise word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The writing contains a very limited range of accurate grammatical structures. The majority of sentences feature noticeable errors in punctuation, subject-verb agreement, articles, and clause structures. Examples include 'teenagers are allowed only by a accompanied adult', 'other have different view points', and 'the time of crime was choose specfically in night'. Punctuation is particularly weak, with comma splices and misplaced commas appearing throughout (e.g., 'The Unparalalled significance, of 'curfew' in some neighbourhood...'). Complex sentences are attempted, but they are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader and matching the Band 4.5 descriptors.
