Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the recent era, we all knows that teenagers are the future decision taking adults coming to the point that in America it come to see that pupils are not able to go out of their home after the dark in sky as curfew is imposed this low was passed by our Prime Minister as they belive that child are in danger nowadays due to some reasons. In my point of view I clearly stand with this statement that after dark in sky teenagers should go along with an adult.

To begin with, there are a lot of study which shows that in night time most of the crimes happen one major reason behind itr is that there is less crowed in public place so the chance of kidnapping is high. For example, when I was in my collage days my best friend's younger sister usually go for long walk after her dinner but one evening when she leaves the home for long walk she forget to carry her mobile phone with her and after some time when we see that she is not in room for sleep we start seaching but we not able to find her till now we have to clue where is she now.

Furthermore, in recent survey of America times we can see that the most of drugs dealing happen in dark ok sky on the road. Most of drug's dealer try to sell their drugs to teenagers as they are easy to manipulate their minds. For example, my old roomate litte brother was going depress in his life after his breakup he usually go to walk with his dog at night at that time one of the drug dealer start conversation with him he give him free dose of drug on first meet. He knows that one duse is enough to have bad habit of the drugs.

To wrap up, the steps taken by the government is essencial beacuse they take all the decision while keepking everyone safety in their mind as this is their work also if every one stay under one low this will definatly gives mertis to all persons of that country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by clearly stating their opinion on the curfew for teenagers and providing reasons supported by personal and observed examples. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay, moving from the introduction into body paragraphs focused on safety and crime prevention, and concluding with a summary of the viewpoint. While the ideas are somewhat limited and heavily reliant on anecdotal evidence rather than broader societal analysis, the prompt is sufficiently addressed. The arguments about crime rates and negative peer pressure directly relate to the question. Consequently, the response satisfies the requirements for Band 5.5, showing clear engagement with the task prompt, though the depth of idea development remains somewhat restricted.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into four paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a basic attempt to logically sequence ideas using transition markers such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To wrap up'. However, overall progression is hindered by frequent structural and grammatical issues that make the flow mechanical. Paragraphing is used, but internal cohesion is sometimes faulty. For instance, referencing is occasionally unclear, and sentences run together without adequate punctuation. Despite these shortcomings, the overall arrangement allows the reader to follow the writer's line of thought. This fits the profile of a Band 5.0 response, where some organisation is present but cohesive devices and paragraph flow show noticeable limitations.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and frequently repetitive, reflecting a basic range suitable for simple communication. The student attempts some less common phrases, such as 'manipulate their minds' and 'essential', but these are often marred by spelling and word-choice errors, including 'litte' instead of 'little', 'depress' instead of 'depressed', and 'duse' instead of 'dose'. Phrases like 'dark in sky' and 'decision taking adults' demonstrate awkward collocations and a lack of precise lexical control. Spelling mistakes and inappropriate word forms occur throughout the text, which occasionally causes strain for the reader. Therefore, the lexical resource is characteristic of a Band 5.0 score, featuring a minimally adequate range with noticeable errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent errors in tense usage, subject-verb agreement, and sentence boundaries—such as massive run-on sentences punctuated only by commas (e.g., 'for example, when I was in my collage days...'). Errors such as 'we all knows', 'child are in danger', 'most of drug's dealer', and 'every one stay under one low' appear regularly throughout the text. These frequent grammatical inaccuracies and punctuation failures can cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the exact meaning of certain statements. This performance aligns closely with the Band 5.0 descriptors, where a limited range of structures is accompanied by frequent errors.
