Student answer (Band 6.0)
With the changing dynamics of the modern world, there has been a noticeable shift in people's attitide towards lifestyle choices. Nowadays, in some part of US, yound people are not allowed to stay outside alone particularly in night.
The following paragraphs will analyze the positive and negative sides of the argument and state my opinion.
Due to technological advancements, youngsters have now more access to the information which allows them to find illegal ways to fulfill their desires. In addition, children are emotional beings and they react out of emotions, therefore, they can be more involved in conflicts with other people. As a consequence, they need to be accompanied by an adult when they go out specifically during a night time.
On the opposite side, imposing a curfew is not always favorable when ther is an emergency situation. For example, young persons can lose the directions while coming back to their targeted destinations and they can stuck outdoor late at night. Moving further, adult members can not always available for their young children.
I opine that, curfew is necessary for the youth especially in this period of time where there are many opportunites and acessible information. By imposing this law, the senior family members can also be aware abuout their children's acitivities and makes them more secure. Moreover, older family members can spend more time with the youngsters, also improves the family bond.
To conclude, safety should be the first and foremost concern for everybody especially for the young people. Curfew can help secure youth and prevent them from any unfortunate indident. However, imposing strict rules and regulations may help reduce the problem, but in case of emergency situations, the monitoring devices can be more advantageous, especially when there is nobody available.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the positive and negative sides of curfews for teenagers and clearly states a personal opinion. The position is maintained throughout the response. Ideas are extended, particularly regarding safety and family bonds, though some arguments, such as the mention of monitoring devices in the conclusion, feel slightly underdeveloped or introduced too late. However, the core requirements of presenting a position and supporting it with reasons are met adequately. Examples like 'young persons can lose the directions' and 'senior family members can also be aware about their children's activities' support the main points. The response aligns well with the Band 6 descriptor for addressing all parts of the task with relevant ideas, though some could be better expanded.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response features a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing opposing views, a stated opinion, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different arguments. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. Transitions like 'On the opposite side' and 'Moving further' feel somewhat unnatural. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun use in 'they can stuck outdoor late at night'. Transitional phrases are present but lack the seamless flow associated with higher bands. Overall, the organizational structure is logical enough to ensure the progression of ideas is visible, corresponding to a Band 6 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task. Words and phrases such as 'technological advancements', 'emotional beings', and 'foremost concern' show an attempt to use less common items. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'attitide' instead of attitude, 'yound people', 'part of US', 'ther is', 'can stuck outdoor', and 'acitivities'. Despite these lexical errors and spelling slips, communication is not impeded, and the meaning remains clear. The range is sufficient to convey the main arguments, fitting the Band 6 descriptor where an adequate range is used with some inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures such as 'where there are many opportunites and acessible information' and 'when there is nobody available'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding verb forms and missing articles, such as 'in some part of US', 'youngsters have now more access to the information', 'there is an emergency situation', 'adult members can not always available', and 'prevent them from any unfortunate indident'. While these errors do not impede overall comprehension, they occur regularly and show a lack of consistent control over complex structures. This performance aligns closely with Band 5.0 and 6.0 criteria, settling at 5.5 due to the noticeable frequency of grammatical slips.
