Student answer (Band 6.0)
A restriction in movemnet is given to children that live in some countries to avoid late nights except if accompanied by an adult. I generally support that curfews beacuse of safety concerns although tgey should not be excessively strict.
Firstly, there are several reasons why restrication in late time hours can be beneficial. This will improve teenegers saftey. This is because young people may be more vulnerable to dangerous situations at night. For example, a teenger who is suppose to return home at 10:00 p.m. may spend time oustide unsupervised. If care is not taking, this child may be attacked by criminals and may lead the child to sustain an injury. This is considered why it crucial to avoid late night and even if one is ti do that, its advisable to go with a guardian. Secondly, it is advantageous because it discourages students from engaging in anti-social behavior. The reason is because it will help prevent fighting and reduce property damage such as cars, school bags and gadgets.
However, there are some disadvantages of curfews which can limit teengers independence. Unless youngsters are given such freedom, they may not get the opportunitiy to make decisions. In other words, a struct curfew may be unreasonable. For instance, evening classes and part-time job are actual essential in a child's formative years. Also, young adult should be given the freedom to earn while still studying. Moreover, not every young teengers outside at night hours is badly behaved. Therefore, restriction to night movement may some times not be the best option.
In my opinion, curfews are safe especially at young age, the exact age, time and saftey condition of a place should be strongly considered first. Parents should also have a role in deciding exact boundries.
In conclusion, late-time rules are very beneficial especially it helps tack insecurity concerns, it can also be an issue if it's not properly balanced. In my opinion, i believe this is of greater benefit for young adults.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on teenage curfews, supporting it with relevant reasons such as personal safety and the prevention of anti-social behaviour. The ideas are extended and supported, for example when explaining how unsupervised youths may encounter dangerous situations. However, there is a tendency to over-generalise in parts, and some arguments regarding parts-time jobs and evening classes could have been more deeply developed. Overall, the position is maintained throughout the text and the main issues of the prompt are satisfactorily covered. This aligns well with the Band 6.5 or 7 descriptor, and is best placed at Band 7.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a clear overall progression and logical organisation. The writer uses standard cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'However', and 'In conclusion' to structure the response. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with distinct introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, referencing is sometimes not entirely clear (e.g. 'This is considered why it crucial...'), and some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Despite these minor cohesive flaws, the logical flow of ideas is maintained throughout, fitting comfortably within the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'anti-social behavior', 'formative years', and 'vulnerable'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'movemnet' instead of movement, 'teenegers' instead of teenagers, 'beacuse' instead of because, and 'tgey' instead of they. Phrases like 'If care is not taking' also show collocation inaccuracies. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over conditional and subordinate structures (e.g. 'Unless youngsters are given such freedom, they may not get the opportunitiy...'). However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the essay, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g. 'part-time job are actual essential') and incorrect verb forms ('is suppose to return'). While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the writing from reaching Band 6, placing it firmly at a Band 5.5.
