There is no doubt that teenagers are the next generation or the backbone of the society. Not allowing teenagers , out of their house has a positive and negative effects.

There are several positive factors of not allowing youngesters out of their house. The primary one could be , to keep them any drugs and parties. As teenagers are in their condolence period , so they wanna try different things to gain experience without knowing abouit their consequences. for instance, a survey was conducted in 2025 by national report team, that teenagers take more drugs than adults. Moreover, allowing them to stay help them to learn ethics from their parents. If teenagers stays at home, they their more time with their more time with their family members and they come to know a lot about their culture and ethics.

On the other side , it has negative effect too. The first one could be , they will become lazy.To explain it , living at home for a long time period makes them an inactive and they dislike to play in grounds because of less interaction with society and they will slowly wwill become the victim of deprerssion and anxiety. In addition to it , it lowers children's confidence level. In 2019, a report was given was international states that less interaction with others lowers teenagers confidence because they feel shy and it put false effect on their personal and professional life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative sides of curfews for teenagers, fulfilling the basic requirements of the task. However, the position is not always clearly sustained, and some ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the point regarding keeping teenagers away from drugs and parties is introduced but lacks sufficient extension and relies on a vague survey reference ('national report team'). Similarly, the conclusion merely restates that everything has two faces rather than clearly summarising a distinct personal opinion as requested by the prompt. To move towards a higher standard, the writer should ensure all main ideas are fully extended with robust explanations and clear examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay displays some overall organization with clear paragraph divisions separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, which provides a coherent overall arrangement. However, the progression of ideas is occasionally disrupted by mechanical cohesive devices and referencing issues, such as 'allowing them to stay help them' and 'they their more time with their family members'. Paragraphing is utilized, but transitional phrases between and within paragraphs can be repetitive or awkward. To achieve a higher level, the writer needs to ensure smoother logical progression and more precise use of referencing pronouns to link ideas naturally without causing confusion for the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'consequences' and 'interaction', but struggles with word choice, word form, and spelling, resulting in noticeable errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples of lexical slips include 'condolence period' (intended to mean adolescence), 'youngesters', 'abouit', 'deprerssion', and 'everthing'. Furthermore, unnatural collocations like 'false effect' instead of 'negative impact' limit the precision of the writing. To improve this criterion, the student must expand their vocabulary range, pay closer attention to word formation, and rigorously check their spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions, such as 'Not allowing teenagers , out of their house has', 'teenagers stays at home', and 'lowers teenagers confidence'. Punctuation is also problematic, marked by unnecessary commas before clauses and missing periods in compound thoughts. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to diversify their sentence patterns and exercise greater control over basic grammatical rules to ensure sentences are accurate and easy to follow.
