Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowaday, many countries imposed curfew for the safy of the citizen. In same way curfew imopsed in some area of U.S in which without the suprvison of adult teenagers sre not allow to go out of home at nignt. I stongly believe that this measure will protect the youth as well as people.

Minors are more on riske compare to adule such as peer presure and became a victims of crime.By implimating the curfew, then youth will less expose in night due to which authority will mitigate the crime activity. For example, during the late night youth can involve in traffice accident because of not having experience and peer presure enged in risk behavior.

Forthermore. human trafficing and kidnaping seen in many big cities during late night. If teenager senp time outside the home alone , then there is a high risk fo became a victims. So imposed of curfew will reducess this crime activity as a result, youth will be safe and having less case of kidnaping. For instans, in Canada, some areas having a high kidnaping case of teenagers, so government imopsed the curfew for minor as a result, in six months kidnaping case got less.

In conlusion, curfew is strick rule and seen restrictive, they are a reasonable and effictive way to protect youth during late night from unique dangers such as kidanping human trafficeing became a vicitims, and curfew will play a role of safeguard for teenagers also contruibut to maintain the safty and order of community.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly support curfews because they can protect teenagers and the wider community. You address the main question and give relevant reasons, including exposure to crime, traffic accidents, kidnapping and human trafficking. The examples help make the argument concrete, particularly the reference to a reported reduction in kidnapping cases in Canada. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the traffic-accident point is brief, and the Canada example would be more convincing if you explained where the information comes from or how the curfew led to the reduction. To strengthen the response further, develop each reason with a clearer explanation and acknowledge, even briefly, why some people may consider curfews restrictive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from general safety concerns to specific risks is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “By implementing the curfew, then youth will less expose in night” does not clearly express the relationship between the policy and reduced risk. The second body paragraph also combines several ideas in a long sequence. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer back to ideas more precisely so that the links between claims, explanations and examples feel smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “peer pressure,” “human trafficking,” “kidnapping,” “restrictive,” and “safeguard.” These choices show an effort to discuss specific risks rather than relying only on general terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “safy,” “imopsed,” “traffice,” and “kidnaping.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “less expose in night” and “imposed of curfew.” These issues limit the precision and naturalness of your vocabulary, even though your main meaning is usually recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, for example “impose a curfew,” “be exposed to danger,” and “a high risk of becoming a victim.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer cause-and-effect sentences, such as “If teenager senp time outside the home alone, then there is a high risk…” This shows some range, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur across the response. Examples include “many countries imposed curfew,” “teenagers are not allow,” and “curfew is strick rule,” where tense, verb form, articles or agreement need attention. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need more control, particularly in “Forthermore. human trafficing…” and the run-on sequence beginning “So imposed of curfew…”. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause, then check articles, plurals and verb agreement before adding further complexity.
