Student answer (Band 6.0)
Every single human being on this universe craves for freedom. As a matter of fact, only a few of them are aware of it's true meaning. Especially, who are above thirteen years of age wants to roam around in the city with their friends without keeping in consideration the timing. If the parents questions them about reaching late in the night, they feel their parents are keeping an eye on them. From their prespective, this is undue restriction. Keeping this concern in mind, the United States government is about to impose curfew whose focus is to eliminate stepping out of teenagers alone after a specific time. It implies their presence after that time would not be questioned if an adult is joining them.
In reality, childrens are true assests of parents not the monetary wealth. Accordingly, their health and safety is biggest ever concern for them. As it is universal truth that teen years from entire span of human's life are most delicate years in form of physical changes happen during these years as well as change in thought patterns. Specifically, the childrens started realising change in their appearance, in their voice with which they are not really comfortable with and keeps on juggling with their thoughts. Furthermore, these years are bridge between childhood and adulthood. Therefore, if they encounter with any physical and an emotional trauma it stays with them for their whole life.
From recent years, several incidents have been reported where teenage girls are getting molested at night time while coming home and teenage boys are coming under the influence of gangsters who are roaming around in the city's plazas. These groups are targeting the most vulnerable group by deceiving them psychologically. For instance the naive and young kids find smoking is a trend and a way to look smart. Only for the sake of acting smart, they are pursuing those activities which are entirely dreadful for them.
Personally, I am highly in favor of this upcoming curfew. As it's motive is to promote wellness and safety for the young class of society which is utmost crucial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you strongly support the curfew, and you address its purpose by discussing teenagers’ safety and vulnerability. The examples of girls being molested and boys being drawn into gangs are relevant, while the explanation of parental concern gives the argument a useful foundation. This meets the task well, and the response shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, some points are less fully explained: for example, the discussion of physical and emotional changes does not clearly show how a curfew would address those concerns. You could also consider a counterargument, such as the effect on responsible teenagers’ independence, and explain why safety should take priority.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces freedom and the curfew, develops parental and adolescent concerns, gives examples of risks, and ends with your opinion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Furthermore,” “Therefore,” and “For instance” make relationships between ideas visible. At times, however, the progression is less smooth because several points are placed together without a clear link—for example, the discussion of teenagers’ physical changes shifts to lifelong trauma without explaining the connection to curfew. Some transitions also feel mechanical, and references such as “these years” and “those activities” could be made more precise. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each example supports your central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “undue restriction,” “vulnerable group,” “deceiving them psychologically,” and “emotional trauma.” These choices show an effort to express nuanced ideas about safety and adolescence. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “craves for freedom,” “true assests,” “biggest ever concern,” and “coming under the influence of gangsters” are examples. Spelling errors such as “prespective” and “childrens” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise combinations rather than more elaborate phrasing; for instance, “seek freedom,” “valuable to their parents,” and “become involved with gangs” would communicate your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, using clauses introduced by “as,” “while,” and “if,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “the parents questions them” should be “the parents question them,” and “the childrens started realising” needs a consistent plural form and verb tense. The opening sentence of the second paragraph also lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “As it's motive” needs a possessive form and should not stand as a sentence fragment. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building complete sentences, especially when combining several ideas.
