Student answer (Band 6.0)
In some places in us, teenagers are not allowed to go outside late at night unless an adult with them. In my opinion, a reasonable curfew can help to young people's safety but it should not to be strict.
First and the foremost, the main benefit of curfew is that it could protect the teenagers from danger because at late night fewer people are around so it can be hard to help someone if they are in dengerious situation. For example, youngstars may be safe at home than walking alone at night. Also, the curfew can support healthy routines because it can be ancourage teenagers to take enough sleep and be ready for school next day. For instance, teenagers take enough sleep at night it will be very easy for them to more attention on their study.
Moreover, more strict rules are not good for teenagers because strict rule could stop them to become a an independent. For example, a teenager may finish his work then do some sports practice outdoor during curfew time. So, they improve their sports activity and become an independent. Also, it is necessary for parents and teenagers should communicate with eachothers about where they are. For example, youngstars can call their parents and tell them where they are and when they come at home.
In conclusion, curfews can help to improve teenager's safety but they should be fair and flexible. So, I believe that to set a suitable curfew based on teenager's age and circumstances because young teenagers are like to come home early, while older onse wants freedom. So, curfew is an important but it should be fair and flexible it also necessary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you support curfews when they are reasonable, but oppose rules that are too strict. You address both safety and teenagers’ independence, and the examples about walking alone at night, sleep, sports practice, and keeping parents informed are relevant. This gives the response a solid, task-focused foundation. Some points, however, are asserted more than explained: the sports example does not clearly show why a curfew would prevent independence, and the communication point could be linked more directly to your preferred policy. The conclusion repeats that curfews should be fair and flexible rather than drawing together the reasons into a more developed final judgement. Further explanation of these ideas would make the response more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting benefits and concerns, and a conclusion. The progression from safety and routines to independence and communication is easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “First and the foremost,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion,” which helps identify the stages of your argument. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, and several examples begin with “For example” or “For instance.” Some connections between claims and examples are not fully clear, particularly how sports practice supports independence under a curfew. The final paragraph repeats the same fairness point several times. Use a wider range of referencing and transitions, and make each example’s relationship to the main claim explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You communicate the main ideas using relevant vocabulary such as “curfew,” “safety,” “independent,” and “circumstances.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “dengerious situation,” “youngstars,” “ancourage,” and “older onse”; these forms may slow the reader, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Phrases such as “improve their sports activity” and “more attention on their study” are also imprecise or unnatural. Aim to learn vocabulary in useful combinations, such as “practise a sport,” “concentrate on their studies,” and “face potential danger,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. This would make your expression clearer and more flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and prepositions occur often enough to affect fluency. For example, “unless an adult with them” needs a complete clause, while “it can be ancourage teenagers” has an incorrect verb construction. In “it is necessary for parents and teenagers should communicate,” two structures are combined incorrectly. The conclusion also contains incomplete or awkward constructions, such as “I believe that to set a suitable curfew.” Practise building complete clauses and checking subject–verb patterns, articles, and infinitives. More accurate control of these structures would make your argument easier to read.
