Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some regions of the United State of America, the goverment has imposed a 'curfew', which means people need to stay home safely especially teenagers as they are more prone to get into trouble mostly during night time without assistance of adults. I believe that this approach is strongly positive because teenagers are at high risk of danger as they are immature and innocent.
Firstly, why teenagers are not allowed to step out of their home without any companion adults as they are at the age where they may not differentiate if something bad happen to them. For instance, if the curfew had happend for any terrorist attack, teenagers would have attacked by terrorists and they could have kidnepped. Therefore, in any critical condition adults can make best decisions as they have more maturity and life experiences than teenagers.
Additionally, teenagers may have tendency to be panicked in the dangerous situation, so it would be better if they are with adult who could handle the suituation in calm and compose manner, which could not worse the situation. For example, many teenagers may get anxious if they are facing any situation such as bomb attack or gun firing at public places and at that time they always need to be supervised and contolled by adult person, including forces or even their parents. However, there are few incidences noted where teenage also escape home without their parent or adult companionship, and they prooved they can take their independence decisions and get out without any fear.
In conclusion, whatever rules and regulations that are made in critical time should be followed by the public, as they are made for their safety. although teenagers allow to go outside without adults companions, during some time they must need guidance of their parents for their saftey and betterments. Therefore, I strongly believe that during curfew time teeagers should be accompanied by an adult.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you support curfews because teenagers may face danger without adult guidance. The examples of terrorist attacks and public violence are relevant, and you also acknowledge that some teenagers can act independently. This addresses the question, but the discussion is unevenly developed. The claim that curfews protect teenagers from terrorism is asserted rather than explained, and the point about teenagers escaping home is not connected clearly to whether curfews are justified. Develop the reasoning with more everyday, plausible risks and explain how a curfew would reduce them. A brief qualification—for example, that restrictions should be proportionate and allow exceptions—would also make your opinion more fully considered.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages, and the central position remains consistent. However, some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “However, there are few incidences…” introduces a contrasting point but does not explain how it affects your argument. In the first body paragraph, the example and the conclusion about adults’ maturity could also be connected more explicitly. Use transitions to show the precise relationship between claims, examples and conclusions, and keep each paragraph focused on one main reason. Clearer referencing would help readers identify what “they” refers to in places.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “curfew,” “maturity,” “life experiences,” “dangerous situation,” and “supervised,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “terrorist attack” and “public places.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “kidnepped,” “contolled,” “compose manner,” and “independence decisions” are examples. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly references to danger and adults. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling, and choose precise terms rather than repeating broad phrases. This would make your vocabulary more flexible and clearer while preserving the relevant ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if the curfew had happend…” and clauses introduced by “as,” “so,” and “which.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “teenagers would have attacked by terrorists” needs a passive form, while “teenagers may have tendency” is missing an article. The opening sentence is also difficult to control because several ideas are joined together, and the final sentence has an incomplete construction in “although teenagers allow to go outside.” Practise accurate passive and conditional forms, and divide long sentences when needed. More reliable control of these patterns would improve clarity.
