Student answer (Band 5.5)

In some part of the United States, the jubeniles does not have permission to go out of their houses at night unless they have guardians along with them.I totally agree with statement and will discuss in the upcoming pargraphs that how it keep them safe and protect them to get involed in illegal activities.I will also give my opinion on this.

The first reason, teenagers are not allowed to go out after specific time because of their safety.kids are the easy targets of the predators or illegal people. Moreover,it is very easy for them to get control over the kids beacuse of their weight and height. For example, as the crime report of government of last decade, the crime rate of against kids are inclined by 90 percent as compared to grown ups.In my opinion, night is one of the ideal time for bad people to get involve in the illegal activities. As a result sometime the innocent people get into their targets.

Another reason, kids should stay at home after evening is stay away from illegal activities.when kids go out, it is a high chance that they will get involved with the bad company and which can ended up in prison too.For instance, it is suggested by every successful person that why you should choose your company wisely if you want to succed in your life.In my opinion, your company decide in the childhood whether you will get sucess in later life or not.

To conclude with,it is good idea to not allowed teenagers for outing at night beacuse its often result in bad activites either they are doing ans somebody doing with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I totally agree,” and the essay gives two relevant reasons—protecting teenagers from predators and reducing their exposure to criminal behaviour. You also include examples and a conclusion, so the response addresses the main parts of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that crime against children rose by 90 percent is not clearly linked to how a curfew would prevent it, and the point about choosing friends wisely needs a more direct explanation of how nighttime restrictions help. Develop each reason with a specific, credible example and explain the connection to your opinion more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a concluding paragraph. Sequencing phrases such as “The first reason,” “Another reason,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. However, these links are somewhat mechanical, and some connections between sentences are unclear. In the second body paragraph, “and which can ended up in prison too” makes the relationship between bad company and imprisonment difficult to follow. The introduction also promises to discuss safety and illegal activities, but its wording is hard to process. Use clearer transitions and pronouns, and make each paragraph progress from its main point to explanation and a directly relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “predators,” “crime rate,” “illegal activities,” and “bad company,” which helps communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response less clear, such as “jubeniles,” “involed,” “crime rate of against kids,” and “ideal time for bad people to get involve.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “get control over the kids.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations of words and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “vulnerable to exploitation” or “become involved in criminal behaviour” would express your points more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if you want to succed in your life” and a reason-result relationship in “As a result.” However, control is uneven, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the juveniles does not have permission” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “which can ended up in prison” has an incorrect verb form. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar and punctuation.
