Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's era, the trend of teenagers kidnapping is becoming more common than ever before. It has become urgent to act, and meanwhile, the US government has imposed curfews in some areas to curb this activity, stating that teenagers are not allowed to be outdoors after a particular time without being accompanied by an adult. I strongly agree with this act. I will provide some reasons to support my opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
First of all, it is everyone's responsibility to take care of the next generation, which includes teenagers. And by imposing the curfew, it reminds individuals to keep an eye on their kids after a certain time. This provides safety to both parents and teenagers.
According to my own experience, I was sitting in a park, and kids were plyaing there, and I saw an unknown guy roaming around and checking the area like he was making sure nobody was watching him. Then, he came to the park and started talking with kids. I stopped him from talking to and giving candy to kids to distract them from others. So, that's why it is important to have a responsible person with teenagers after a particular time.
On top of that, by imposing rules, the police department would also have more time to get involved in other cases to make sure public safety and law enforcement.
Finally, public safety is government's responsibility, so upon given reasons are enough to support my arguments regardingiing imposing curfew after particular time in some areas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I strongly agree,” and you give relevant reasons concerning teenagers’ safety, adult supervision, and public safety. The personal park incident also provides a concrete example that supports your concern about young people being approached by strangers. However, the response focuses mainly on kidnapping and supervision, so the broader effects and limits of curfews are not explored. The claim that curfews give police more time to handle other cases is introduced but not explained, and the conclusion largely repeats the argument rather than drawing the points together. Develop each reason more fully and explain how a curfew would address the risks while acknowledging any relevant drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate supporting paragraphs, and a concluding statement. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “On top of that,” and “Finally” make the progression easy to follow, and the personal example is placed where it supports the safety argument. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some effective organisation. To make the progression more consistently smooth, connect ideas within paragraphs rather than relying mainly on paragraph-opening signals. For example, explain the link between the park incident and a legally imposed curfew, and clarify how reduced street activity would help police. The final paragraph’s reference to “upon given reasons” is also unclear, weakening the conclusion’s connection to the preceding points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “imposing the curfew,” “public safety,” “law enforcement,” and “responsible person.” These choices allow the reader to understand your main concerns. However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems limit precision: “trend of teenagers kidnapping” does not clearly express the intended idea, “plyaing” is misspelled, and “regardingiing” contains a spelling error. Phrases such as “curb this activity” and “upcoming paragraphs” also sound unnatural in context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; a more precise range would help you express the argument without relying on broad or awkward wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including the opening sentence with a relative clause and the example introduced by “According to my own experience.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors reduce control. For instance, “it reminds individuals to keep an eye on their kids” has an unclear reference for “it,” while “I stopped him from talking to and giving candy to kids” has an awkward parallel construction. The sentence beginning “Finally, public safety is government's responsibility” also has an unclear structure in its concluding clause. Practise building clear subject–verb relationships and parallel lists, and review articles and possessives. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
