Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to about giving you the feedback of the party that i organized at your hotel with my company members.

I want to tell you that the people who was in meeting really liked the decoration was done by the hotel staff, the lighting in that area was very eye catching and was light on eyes. The whole staff was really polite and their hospitality was top notch.

The the main issue that most of members addresses that the food was quit awful, neither the taste of it nor the presentation of the food was good at all and it was not warm at that much.

The suggestion that i would like share with you is that you can work along with your staff to make sure keeping an eye on all dishes that are getting served kindly prefer doing a taste test before serving that would do a lot to tackle this issue.

I hope in future we have a great joyful time at your hotel

yours sinerly

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: you mentioned the positive aspects of the hotel, explained the issues with the food, and provided a suggestion for improvement. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter, and the purpose is clear from the beginning. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are slightly more developed; for instance, you could have provided a specific example of why the food was 'awful' (e.g., cold, undercooked, or limited variety) to make your feedback more impactful for the manager.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'The suggestion that' and 'I hope in future' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and transition phrases (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', 'In addition to this') to connect your ideas more fluidly. Additionally, ensure that referencing is precise to avoid ambiguity.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'hospitality', 'top notch', and 'tackle this issue'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'light on eyes' instead of 'easy on the eyes' and 'quit' instead of 'quite'. There are also some spelling errors like 'sinerly' and 'i' (which should be capitalized). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and proofreading for basic spelling and capitalization errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'the people who was in meeting' (subject-verb agreement), 'the decoration was done' (missing relative pronoun), and 'not warm at that much' (awkward phrasing). While these errors do not prevent the message from being understood, they indicate a need for more careful control over basic grammar, particularly subject-verb agreement and article usage. Focusing on these areas will help improve your accuracy.
