IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say what the participants liked about the hotel
• explain why they were unhappy about the food
• suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apprise you of obstacles I have encountered with the food service at your hotel. Last week, I booked your hotel for an all-day company meeting which include around 40 participants.

All participants were satisfied with the parking service, and the flora and fauna of beautiful garden at front entrance. Every person praises about the wide rooms with perfect light and air temperature.

Unfortunately, the food service was not the same as it was shown on your website. I had planned some food option from online menu which were not available at hotel restaurant. I tries to talk with customer service desk , but to my surprise, he informed me that it is a old menu on their website.

I kindly request you to please update the new menu, and add some more variations of food. I believe this prompt action will not only improve the sales, but also satisfied the customers.
