Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: mentioning the positive aspects of the hotel, explaining the issue with the lunch, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of why the food was unsatisfactory is brief and lacks detail. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are expanded with more specific descriptions or context. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though some phrasing is slightly informal or awkward, such as 'I hope you are doing good'. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the depth of information could be improved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moving towards', and 'Furthermore' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical or unnatural, such as 'Moving towards the rest of information'. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel slightly disjointed. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences connect more smoothly to one another.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant words like 'participants', 'organised', and 'quality'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'hotel beauty' instead of 'the beauty of the hotel' and 'no noise' instead of 'a quiet atmosphere'. There are also some minor spelling and grammatical slips, such as 'recieved'. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and expanding your range of vocabulary to express your ideas with greater accuracy and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'I am writing this letter regards to organised a party' (should be 'regarding organizing'), 'So what's why' (should be 'That is why'), and 'more and more customer will become' (should be 'more customers will come'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not fully impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and consistent verb tense control.
