IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say what the participants liked about the hotel
• explain why they were unhappy about the food
• suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to share my feedback about the services I received at your hotel recently. My name is Navneet and yesterday I organized an all day meeting at your hotel.

The meeting went pretty well and all the members enjoyed their time in the hotel. They were particularly happy by the customer service and hotel ambience. Your staff is experienced and know how to treat guests professionally.

However, my guests did not like the food of your hotel because they did not get a chance to taste it. Before booking the conference room I specially told the food preferences that we do not need oily and non vegetarian food items. Despite my instructions they served non vegetarian food, which no one ate. When I asked for vegetarian food they told me they ran out of vegetarian dishes.

I would really appreciate it if you could take customers preferences seriously and make sure that what the customers are asking for is fulfilled.
