IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say what the participants liked about the hotel
• explain why they were unhappy about the food
• suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in regards to give you a feedback on the meeting that we arranged at your hotel.

Overall, the arrangement was good. What the participants mainly like is that welcoming style and nature of the staff members. Additionally, they praise about the cleanliness maintained specifically in the washrooms.

However, they were very upset because of the food. Food was not fresh and contains lot of salt. Lot of people did not eat it because of the fear of getting sick. They remained hungry whole day. They asked the staff for alternative food items but it were also has the same problem. They survive only on coffee and tea.

I would suggest to hire a designated person otherwise you can also test the food before serving to the guest when it is ready. It will help you to improve your business, increase reputation of your hotel and attract more customers.
