IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say what the participants liked about the hotel
• explain why they were unhappy about the food
• suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear sir,

I would be obliged writing this letter to you about the hotel which the meeting was held with my staff.

Well I would highly recommend that the hotel ambience was to good, clean and the staff was very helpful. Moreover we liked the sitting arrangement which was very well done with the host and was very comfortable to sit and the stage was very well set so and the speakers were clean to hear.

One thing I would like to focus on the food. I would say that my staff was not happy with the food and even the starter. It was very oily and spicy and i think the food was not fresh overall.

Here I would like to suggest you that please try to improve the food department so that in future the hotel can get more business, because hotel profession is mainly food, if food is good people will come more often and there will be more business and meeting.
