IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say what the participants liked about the hotel
• explain why they were unhappy about the food
• suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear sir,

I am writing this letter to express my concern regarding the food that had been served while an organizing business meeting in your hotel.

Last week, I held meeting in your conference hall, and invited our all clients including international and national. Participants really liked offered services such as flexible sitting arrangements, proper privacy, and advanced features projector along with headsets.

However, they did not like the food. Most of the visitors said that food was not only more salty but also less hot. Consequently, it was hard to eat. Also, they did not get foreign cuisines which were added in offer, so they are dissatisfied with this service.

I think that your supervision is needed towards your staff, and you can whether offer them a re-training about following recipes or allow them more time to prepare food. It will be helpful to improve your food service.
