Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope you are doing well, I am writting this letter to inform you formally that I and my team did a business get together at your restaurant. I happy to share my feedback on behalf of all members, first of all, all my colleague love the ambience of the restaurant, and they love the background music. Outstanding customer service left a strong impression that cannot be ignored.

However, majority of people don't like the food that you served because it was made from too much oil it messed up the taste of the particular dish. Although, few food items were looks good

but in term of taste they were tasteless without salt and other spices.

At last, I want to suggest you that before serving any food you should be 100% sure that it will left imperssion on the customer. In term of hire a cook you must be very carefull about someone's caliber.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You successfully covered all parts of the prompt. You mentioned what participants liked about the hotel, such as the ambience, background music, and customer service. You explained why they were unhappy with the food, specifically noting that it contained too much oil and lacked seasoning like salt and spices. Finally, you provided suggestions for the future, advising the manager to ensure food quality and be careful when hiring culinary staff. Your position is clear and all three bullet points from the task instructions are adequately addressed. To reach a higher band, the ideas could be developed with slightly more detail and nuance, but overall, you fulfilled the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

Your letter has a clear overall progression and follows a logical structure. You open appropriately with 'Dear Sir or Madam' and use paragraphs to separate your points: introduction and positive feedback, negative food feedback, and your concluding suggestions. However, there are some faults in cohesion and sentence linking. For instance, run-on sentences appear in the first paragraph ('I hope you are doing well, I am writting...'), and punctuation is occasionally misused or missing. Cohesive devices are somewhat basic (e.g., 'first of all', 'However', 'At last'). While the progression of ideas is coherent enough for easy reading, more sophisticated and varied linking words would improve the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrated an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, successfully communicating your ideas about the event, hotel ambience, and food quality. You attempted some less common phrases like 'business get together', 'ambience', and 'outstanding customer service'. However, there are several word choice and collocation errors, such as 'writting' (spelling), 'did a business get together' (awkward collocation for organised a corporate event), and 'in term of hire a cook' (grammatical and lexical inaccuracy). Additionally, 'imperssion' was misspelled. These errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the vocabulary score from reaching a higher band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You used a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the letter, such as 'Although, few food items were looks good but in term of taste they were tasteless'. However, your writing contains frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues. There is a comma splice in the opening sentence ('I hope you are doing well, I am writting...'), tense confusion ('were looks good'), and preposition errors ('made from too much oil' instead of 'cooked with'). While these errors rarely impede communication entirely, they are noticeable and consistent, indicating that simple sentences are handled with more control than complex structures.
