Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to formally express my dissatisfaction with the food at your resort.
Last week, I arrange a meeting at your hotel for my company. The members of my company really enjoy at your hotel while seeing the beautiful interior. Moreover, they like the meeting room where internet access is very excellent & the headphones having a greater sound far and having noise cancellation which reduce the distraction. Overall, the experience was excellent.
But, the food they serve was not tasty and cold. Additionally, food service is very slow. The chinese twsine cusinie was not really good, most importantly the food didn't have any taste in it and the cold coffee we ordered has not chilled.
To improve these points, I would suggest you to hire expertise for cooking and
update the staff for food service. I hope you look forward regarding this feedback.
yours faithfully.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully covers all the bullet points outlined in the prompt. You state what the participants liked about the hotel, such as the beautiful interior and the meeting room facilities like excellent internet access and noise-cancelling headphones. You also explain why they were unhappy about the food, noting that it was cold, tasteless, and that the service was slow. Finally, you suggest improvements, including hiring expert cooks and updating the staff for food service. Although the ending is slightly abrupt and leaves an incomplete sentence, all three required components of the task are addressed, and the ideas are sufficiently developed for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure appropriate for a formal complaint. You use some transitional markers such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'Overall' to connect your ideas. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the final paragraph is broken off mid-sentence and lacks proper cohesion. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally repetitive, and the abrupt conclusion makes the overall progression feel slightly disjointed in places, placing this criterion at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'formally express my dissatisfaction', 'noise cancellation', and 'reduce the distraction'. However, there are notable spelling and word-choice errors, such as writing 'arrange' instead of 'arranged', 'enjoy at your hotel' instead of 'enjoyed themselves', 'chinese twsine cusinie' instead of 'Chinese cuisine', and 'has not chilled' instead of 'was not chilled'. These lexical inaccuracies do not seriously impede communication, but they prevent the response from achieving a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and subordinate structures. However, there are several noticeable grammatical errors and tense inconsistencies throughout the letter. For instance, 'Last week, I arrange' shifts inappropriately into the present tense, and 'the headphones having a greater sound far' contains awkward phrasing and grammatical misuse of participles. Additionally, the final sentence is incomplete ('To improve these points, I would suggest you to hire expertise for cooking and'). Despite these errors, the meaning is generally clear, justifying a Band 5.5.
