Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully covers all bullet points required by the prompt. You mentioned what participants liked about the hotel by stating 'participate in meeting liked your hotel too much', explained why they were unhappy with the food because it was 'too spicy and cold', and suggested improvements such as that 'food should hot and fresh, hygeniue'. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and the tone fluctuates, particularly with the direct demand for a refund in the middle of a feedback letter. Despite these minor issues, all parts of the task are addressed clearly enough for the reader to understand your purpose and complaints.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter lacks proper paragraphing, with almost the entire body of the text lumped together into one dense block. This makes the logical progression harder to follow, although the sequencing of ideas follows a chronological and thematic path from praise to complaints to demands and finally suggestions. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes repetitive or misused, such as excessive reliance on commas instead of conjunctions and full stops. For example, sentences like 'some people were vegetrain so they did not eat anything, they were hungry and tried from hectic day.' demonstrate faulty punctuation and referencing. Overall cohesion is mechanical, pulling the score down to this band level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with several spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples of errors include 'participate' instead of 'participants', 'vegetrain' instead of 'vegetarian', 'tried' instead of 'tired', 'amolover' instead of 'moreover', 'feld' instead of 'felt', 'weired' instead of 'weird', 'hygeniue' instead of 'hygienic', and 'forword' instead of 'forward'. While you attempted some less common words like 'beverage', the frequent spelling mistakes and inaccuracies place your lexical resource at this level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The text relies heavily on simple sentences and comma splices rather than correct complex structures. There is a frequent lack of capitalisation for the pronoun 'i' and at the beginnings of sentences. Punctuation is generally weak, resulting in run-on sentences such as 'some people were vegetrain so they did not eat anything, they were hungry and tried from hectic day.' There are also missing auxiliary verbs and articles, for example, 'food was not looked fresh'. While the meaning can still be discerned, the high frequency of grammatical and punctuation errors prevents the response from achieving a higher band.
