Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
Your response sits at this level because you addressed the task only partially. First, you did not meet the minimum length requirement, as your letter contains only 105 words instead of the required 150 words. While you attempted the three bullet points by mentioning that you organised a meeting, noting unhappiness about the food, and giving a brief instruction to improve, your ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For example, regarding what participants liked about the hotel, you only mentioned generally that you visit many times, failing to specify what they appreciated about the venue itself. Furthermore, your explanation of why they were unhappy ('food was not tasty And all food was not hot') and your suggestions are too simplistic and lack the necessary extension required for higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
Your letter shows some organisation, but information and ideas are not arranged coherently enough to reach higher bands. You attempted to use basic paragraphing, separating your opening, main points, and closing, but the overall progression of ideas feels disjointed. There is a lack of effective cohesive devices; you relied on repetitive sentence structures and basic connectors like 'And' and 'Fierstly' rather than smooth transitions. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the sudden shift from discussing the participants' feedback to stating 'I visit many time at your hotel.' To improve, you need to group related ideas logically together and use a wider range of cohesive phrases to connect your sentences and paragraphs naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary range is basic and repetitive, which is characteristic of this band. You used simple everyday words such as 'problems', 'food', 'tasty', and 'hot'. There are several spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'derved' instead of served, 'Fierstly' instead of firstly, 'sarvice' instead of service, and 'quilty' instead of quality. Furthermore, phrases like 'visit many time at your hotel' show awkward collocation. While your meaning can mostly be understood despite these errors, the lack of less common vocabulary and the frequent lexical inaccuracies prevent your writing from achieving a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your grammar is characterised by a very limited range of structures, consisting mainly of simple sentences. You attempted a few more complex patterns, but these contained frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and sentence construction. Examples of errors include 'share some problems with you about your food', 'all day meeting' lacking a hyphen, 'all food was not hot', and 'please feel free contact to m' instead of 'please feel free to contact me'. Punctuation and capitalisation also need attention, such as the lowercase 'i' used for the pronoun 'I' in 'But i am unhappy'. Frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict your score to this level.
