Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you describe the hotel’s clean, decorated meeting room and polite staff, explain that the lunch was too spicy and the ice cream had melted, and recommend changes to food preparation. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the complaints are relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “many spices” does not explain what specifically made the meal unpleasant, and the suggestion to “hire a new cook” is quite abrupt and is not supported with practical alternatives such as checking food quality or asking about dietary preferences. Develop the reasons and recommendations more clearly, and use a suitably professional tone throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it opens with its purpose, describes the positive experience, presents the food complaints, and ends with recommendations and a closing. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “Unfortunately,” and “Furthermore” show the relationship between points. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, the links can feel mechanical, and the opening moves awkwardly from the purpose to personal details. The recommendation paragraph also shifts from the complaint to advice without explaining the connection. Use transitions more selectively and make each paragraph’s ideas build naturally on the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “meeting room,” “hospitality,” “spices,” and “flavour.” However, the range is limited, and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less natural: “farvinder,” “spieces,” “tatste,” “tottaly,” and “prolem.” Some phrases are also awkward or imprecise, such as “very with hotel decoration,” “mannerful,” and “share some of my knowledge about this problem.” These choices can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more accurate range of expressions for describing service and food, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including “The lunch was made of many spices which made…” and “It will help you to increase…”. The overall message remains understandable, but errors in sentence construction and verb forms are frequent enough to cause difficulty in places. For example, “I am writing this letter to you feedback” lacks a grammatical link between “you” and “feedback,” while “Last sunday i had arrange a meeting” has an incorrect verb form and inconsistent capitalisation. “They were all very with hotel decoration” is also missing a necessary complement. Practise accurate past-tense forms and complete sentence patterns, and proofread articles, pronouns, and punctuation.
