Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the mention of 'mouse potato' is an attempt at idiomatic language but is used incorrectly, and the explanation regarding 'preserved food' is brief. The ideas are relevant but lack depth and specific examples to fully support the arguments. The conclusion is also somewhat vague and does not effectively summarize the main points. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and concrete examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the problem to the solution. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'In an inference associated and constructive steps'. Some transitions, like 'Apart from this', are used repetitively. While the overall arrangement is coherent, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is clearer throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'many masses' and 'attracting the ailments towards themselves'. The term 'mouse potato' is an incorrect collocation (the correct idiom is 'couch potato'). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'ailments' and 'hectic schedule', the overall control is inconsistent. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding non-standard expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'those have no time', 'like young generation these days have', 'they have caught by various diseases', and 'If a person have less time'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
