Student answer (Band 6.5)

As it is rightly quoted all work and no play makes jack a dull boy, similarly all work and no excercise will make you feel extremely dull and causes some health issues. In order to keep your body charged and feel energetic during your working hours excerice is compulsory.

To start with there are several reasons for health problems but the major issue is your daily routine. The daily schedule does not have slot allocated for excercise. The day starts by completing our routine household work and reaching workplace on time. According to me one of the root cause for laziness for excercising is social media. All our leisure time is passed by scrolling over reels on social media. Another reason would be work pressure revolving around the head.

Secondly, the solution for no medicine and best health life besides your work life is being fit. Everyday make sure to wake up 15minutes early from bed and dedicate that time for your fitness. In between of prolonged work hours a slight stretching of your body will help relax your muscles and correct your body postures.

Furthermore, my collague working in front desk of our company suffered with severe back pain as a reason for prolonged sitting hours without any body movement. She was on strict bedrest for 2months, post which she recovered with constant excercise. Now, she makes a point to stretch her body every 2hourly of work.

To pen down, your body is your most priceless possession, take care of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention social media and work pressure as reasons, these points are not fully explored. Similarly, the solutions provided—waking up early and stretching—are practical but could be expanded with more depth or broader societal perspectives to reach a higher band. The introduction is a bit informal, and the conclusion is very brief. To improve, ensure each body paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly answers the 'why' and 'how' components of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To start with', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to transition between ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and the connection between sentences could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the general problem and the specific example of your colleague is a bit abrupt. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your reasoning.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'prolonged work hours', 'body postures', and 'priceless possession'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'excercise' instead of 'exercise', 'collague' instead of 'colleague') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'no medicine and best health life'. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations. Expanding your range of vocabulary to include more academic or formal synonyms would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'causes some health issues'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'every 2hourly of work'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency of the essay. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence structure will help improve your score significantly.
