Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as professional responsibilities and the suggestion of yoga or meditation. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second paragraph where 'workaholic' and 'tired' are mentioned without deep exploration. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on the consequences of these health issues. The position is clear throughout, and the structure is logical, covering the 'why' and 'what can be done' sections distinctly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'Therefore', 'Apart from that', 'Consequently', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, and there are minor issues with referencing (e.g., 'these all factors' is awkward). Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the problem from the solution. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, though the connection between sentences could be more varied to improve the flow and reduce the reliance on simple linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'work-life balance', 'pivotal role', and 'professional responsibilities'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'foster them to meet' (should be 'compel' or 'force') and 'socialise and active person' (should be 'socialize and become active'). Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'in today's time' instead of 'nowadays' or 'in the modern era'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and sophistication required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Yoga play a pivotal role' should be 'Yoga plays') and article usage (e.g., 'a yoga or meditation classes' is incorrect). There are also issues with word forms, such as 'fatigued' used as an adjective alongside 'stress' and 'depression'. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the essay. To improve, focus on ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and refining your use of plural/singular nouns.
