Discussing the reasons the foremost one I shall put forward is that, in the competitive world people individuals follow hectic schedule. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of hectic schedules and the need for government intervention. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion to limit working hours is a good idea, but it lacks specific detail on how this would be implemented or its potential drawbacks. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting arguments with more depth and specific examples. The position is clear throughout, and the response covers all requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for reasons and solutions, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Additionally' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are occasional issues with referencing, such as 'By this I mean that as competition becomes more intense...' which is a bit wordy. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, but improving the variety of your linking words would help the flow feel more natural and sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sedentary lifestyle,' 'hectic schedule,' and 'preventive measures.' There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'as rise due to' (should be 'arise due to') and 'goverment should implied' (should be 'government should implement'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations. Expanding your vocabulary to include more topic-specific collocations would enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and subject-verb agreement, such as 'people individuals follow' (redundant), 'that induced by' (should be 'that are induced by'), and 'people are encourage' (should be 'people are encouraged'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are missing commas in complex sentences. While the meaning is always clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will significantly improve your score.
