Student answer (Band 6.5)
Due to the hectic life schedule, many people these days do not get enough exercise that results in many health problems to them. There can be a number of causes to this that are being discussed as follows along with some of it's solutions.
The main reason to this could be the lethargic lifestyle of the employees that means they got tired of doing the same kind of job each day, resulting in making people less interested in their own health and well being. Further, hectic working schedules has fueled this problem to a great extent. Under these circumstances individuals are not able to maintain a work life balance. Therefore, they spent all their time at work and doing home chores. Moreover, living alone in a different city or abroad has also results in neglecting exercise as they feel home sick and want to stay in quiet place while lying on their beds during their leisure hours.
There can be many solutions to these causes. First one could be constructing a gym in the company building so that employees can do some sort of exercise there during their break hour that helps in developing more energy and focus in them. Furthermore, small meetings should be conducted in the offices to make the workers aware about the importance of exercise along with how to manage office tasks and home chores at the same time. Additionally, playing some games or activities or organizing any kind of competition which is indirectly an exercise, within the company can also proves to be a good solution to this as this can develop a sense of enthusiasm in all the candidates.
In conclusion, reasons such as lethargic life style, home sickness and difficulty in maintaining a work life balance has fueled this problem but the solutions like a gym in the company, organizing meetings and fun competition has helped in dealing with this problem a lot.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of 'lethargic lifestyles' and 'work-life balance'. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'home sickness' is a bit tangential to the general issue of working people not exercising. The ideas are presented clearly, but they could benefit from more specific examples or deeper elaboration to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Further', 'Moreover', 'First one', and 'In conclusion' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, though the transition between the causes and the solutions could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the prompt.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'work-life balance', 'lethargic lifestyle', and 'enthusiasm'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'fuelled this problem to a great extent' (which is acceptable but slightly clunky) and 'can also proves to be' (grammatical error affecting lexical precision). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but lacks the sophistication or precision required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'it's solutions' (should be 'its'), 'has also results' (should be 'has also resulted'), and 'can also proves' (should be 'can also prove'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not generally impede communication. The student demonstrates an attempt at complex structures, but control over these is inconsistent. Punctuation is generally functional, though some sentence boundaries could be improved for better flow.
