Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of why social media prevents exercise is quite brief and lacks depth. The ideas are relevant, but they are not fully extended or supported with specific, convincing examples. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be strengthened by providing more detailed analysis of the impact of modern working conditions on physical health. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more concrete illustrations or logical reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude it' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs can be slightly disjointed. For instance, the transition between the mention of social media and the suggestion of reading books is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'these problems') is always clear would help to improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'hectic schedule', 'fatigue', and 'physical activities'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward word choice or collocation, such as 'working masses' and 'bring them far from social media'. There are also minor errors in word form, such as 'not getting time to physical activities' instead of 'for physical activities'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Working masses has been getting', 'reason... has been work load'), incorrect preposition usage ('time to do workout'), and awkward phrasing ('While these can overlook by taking few steps'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and occur frequently. To achieve a higher band, you need to focus on improving your control over basic grammar, particularly verb tenses, articles, and sentence construction, to ensure that your writing is more accurate.
