Student answer (Band 6.5)
Exercise is a crucial aspect of human's life and the discussion of little or no exercise is surely the one that begs the question of exactly whether it is the biggest reason for having severe health problems. In my opinion, due to the sedentary lifestyle, working individuals don't have much time for workout.
One clear fact is that people are extremely focused on their jobs and lost in their working ecosystem. Take for instance, someone who is doing an IT job; least likely to get an opportunity of exercise from his schedule. In addition, it promotes health issues such as obesity, hypertension and heart attacks.
Another reason stems from the fact that time taken to reach their offices because of traffic on roads. For example, in Bangalore, India, to cover 1 km of distance it takes 30 minutes in peek office hours. If working from home, same time could be utilized for exercises such as yoga, dance and many more.
There are numerous ways to address this problem. To start with, individual should start taking small water breaks after every hour; smart watches are there to remind everyone these days. Next, we should promote walking wherever its possible; as it has several benefits, it reduces the risk of cancer and on the top of it is a form of an exercise. Last, everyone should workout at least 4 days per week as per the guideline from World Health Organization.
To conclude, it is true that many working individuals are getting health problems as they are doing little or no workouts even in their free days. This is a serious concern and we should immediately start taking action on this such as, small breaks between work hours, walks after every meal and going gym at least 4 times per week, could be a great starting point. Government should start campaigns to raise awareness among citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact of sedentary office jobs and long commutes, and the suggestions like taking breaks and government campaigns are practical. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation of why people do not exercise is clear, but the solutions could be more deeply explored rather than listed. The position is consistent throughout, and the response maintains a clear focus on the topic, meeting the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition', 'To start with', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the final paragraph where the list of solutions is somewhat cluttered. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the reasons from the solutions, which aids the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some topic-specific terms like 'sedentary lifestyle', 'obesity', and 'hypertension'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'peek office hours' (should be 'peak') and 'going gym' (should be 'going to the gym'). While you attempt to use a range of vocabulary, it is mostly functional rather than sophisticated. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing like 'many more' or 'doing little or no workouts'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'human's life' (should be 'human life'), 'individual should start' (should be 'individuals should start'), and 'wherever its possible' (should be 'wherever it is possible'). Punctuation is generally functional, though some sentences are slightly awkward in their construction. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
