Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the 'comfort zone' and 'hectic work schedules' as causes, and 'workplace seminars' as a solution. However, the development is somewhat uneven. Some points, like the suggestion to 'adopt efficient and proper daily routine', are a bit vague and could benefit from more specific examples or deeper explanation. The position is clear, but the overall depth of analysis is limited, which prevents it from reaching a higher band. The response covers all requirements but lacks the sustained, well-supported development expected at higher levels.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for reasons and solutions, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In order to', though some transitions feel mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'In order to situation some steps can be taken'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the lack of sophisticated linking makes the overall structure feel somewhat basic.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors ('servesul', 'dissoused', 'phisical', 'lake', 'awarness', 'instanse', 'cardiovascullar', 'enxiety', 'conchude') that occasionally distract the reader. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'sedentary life' and 'obesity', the range is limited. The repetition of basic words and the frequent spelling mistakes indicate that the student struggles to use a wider range of vocabulary with accuracy. To improve, the student should focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('number of occupied individuals avoid to do'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms ('exercise is overcome a stress'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of semicolons and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction impede the flow and demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures. The student needs to focus on sentence-level accuracy and proofreading for basic grammatical slips.
