Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as workplace pressure and screen time, and the solutions provided, like corporate wellness initiatives and parental monitoring, are logical. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the link between 'cut throat competition' and exercise is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples or deeper analysis. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples to ensure the response is fully developed throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'Apart from that', and 'In conclusion' are used to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the phrase 'cope up with this issue', which is a common error. Overall, the information is arranged coherently, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'detrimental effects', 'obesity', and 'unachievable targets'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'lazy workout routine' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'cope up with' (which should be 'cope with'). The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate, but it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Expanding your range of collocations and idiomatic expressions would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('smartphones also plays', 'youngster's are'), article misuse ('a targets'), and awkward phrasing ('every individual is get exhausted'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly enhance the accuracy of your writing.
