Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, most of people do not like to move around as they use to sednetry life style. most of people like to do some exercises but most of them not prefer to do so in the result of this people do have many problems regarding their well being. I will explain both the reasons and solution for this problem in upcoming paragraphs.

On the one hand, there are many people, who are working 9 to 5 job nowadays, so they do not have energy to do any exercise. to elaborate this, people do not have healthy diet so they do not have strength in their bodies to be counsious about their healthy life style. for example, according to survey took in Canada, there are thousand of students , who are working. However, they only run behind money and forgot about their real diamond which is health these days. As a result of not doing exercise human face thousands of heath hazards which makes them weak day by day such as obesity, high blood pressure, always being fatigue etc.

On the other hand, they can get time for exercise so they can be stay healthy in their life. to explain this, first thing they can get up early in the morning so they can have their morning walk which is as important as any of exercise. second they may change their food prefrrence so it can also be part of their journy to be healthy.

In the Conclusion ,it is depend on people how they choose to live. If they have strong will to be healthy ,they do have solutions to deal with their busy scedules.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development is limited. The reasons provided (lack of energy, poor diet) are somewhat generic and lack depth. The solutions suggested (getting up early, changing diet) are also quite brief. While the position is clear, the ideas are not fully extended or supported with convincing evidence. The mention of a 'survey in Canada' is vague and does not effectively support the argument. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'to elaborate this', 'to explain this'). Some transitions feel forced or unnatural. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between working 9-to-5 and diet is not clearly explained. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences flow logically from one to the next will help improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'sednetry', 'counsious', 'prefrrence', 'scedules') and some awkward word choices, such as 'run behind money' and 'real diamond'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of spelling mistakes limit the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring the correct spelling of common academic and topic-related words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of people do not like'), article usage (e.g., 'in the result of this'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are poorly constructed, such as 'it is depend on people how they choose to live'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall clarity of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence structure and proofreading for common errors would be highly beneficial.
