Student answer (Band 6.5)
A lot of working people do not get enough physical exercise during the working hours or in their free time. As a result, they are suffering from some health issues. This essay will explicate its reasons and provide some effective solutions.
The first reason of lack of physical activity is that people are having sedentary jobs where they spend all of their time by seating on a desk or in front of computer. So, after long hours of shift they feel tired and lazy to do any exercise. Secondly, they have lack of time beacause they have other chaos to do after work such as family responsibilities. Apart from that, technology has made everything so convenient. People can buy anything online just by one click such as order food, do shopping while seating at home that makes no sense to go out.
Moving to the solutions, employers can provide the flexible hours to the employees and there should be at least two exercise breaks for the employees during working hours where they can do some stretching or walking. Moreover, Company should provide the gym for the workers and encourage them to do some physical activity by providing them some fitness programmes. As a result, employees will relief from stress because healthy mind exist in healthy body that will increase the productivity of the organisation. Furthermore, people should utilise their commuting time to make themselves fit. For example, they can go to work by walking or cycling.
In conclusion, lack of time, sedentary jobs and modern lifestyle are tghe reasons taht people are not getting enough exercise but the employers and workers should work together to solve this issue by providing them some time for physical activity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as sedentary jobs and the convenience of technology, and the solutions provided, like flexible working hours and employer-led initiatives, are practical. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the explanation of why technology makes it unnecessary to go out is a bit superficial. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed examples or deeper analysis of the consequences. The position is clear throughout, and the response is well-structured to meet the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first reason', 'Secondly', 'Apart from that', and 'Moving to the solutions'. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are occasional issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'that makes no sense to go out', which is slightly awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though the connection between sentences could be smoother in places.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'sedentary jobs', 'productivity', and 'physical activity'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'have other chaos to do' (should be 'tasks' or 'responsibilities'), 'employees will relief from stress' (should be 'will find relief' or 'will be relieved'), and 'healthy mind exist in healthy body' (missing articles). The range is sufficient for the task, but more precise and varied vocabulary would be needed to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'people are having sedentary jobs' (should be 'people have'), 'by seating on a desk' (should be 'by sitting at a desk'), and 'Company should provide' (missing article 'The'). There are also spelling errors like 'beacause', 'tghe', and 'taht'. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
