Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'hectic schedules' and 'social media,' the explanation remains repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on social media focuses on scrolling reels without exploring the psychological or structural reasons behind sedentary behavior. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or nuanced arguments. The conclusion is present, but the overall position could be more clearly articulated throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant but require more elaboration to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'by which problems... arrives to them.' The progression of ideas is logical, but the connection between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on common phrases like 'hectic schedule' and 'busy life,' which are repeated. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'muscle drains' and 'doing some exercises of games.' While the meaning is clear, the vocabulary is somewhat limited and lacks the sophistication needed to express complex ideas fluently. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and add variety to your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many people avoids,' 'problems... arrives') and incorrect preposition usage ('busy in their lives,' 'doing exercises by the help of'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas around 'in result.' While the errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to affect the overall quality. You should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of articles and prepositions.
