Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today’s fast paced world, many working people get little or no exercise during their working hours or free time due to which they are suffering from serious health problems. This essay will shed some light on the main reasons of this issue and provide solutions to overcome this problem.
To commence with, there are numerous reasons why employee do not get enough time for physical activities. The first and foremost reason is that many people have demanding jobs and work long hours. To elaborate more, large numbers of people work jobs that are physically demanding and long hours of shifts. After spending long workday, they get tired and stress for which they need rest and want quality time with their kids and wife rather than exercise. Another important factor is modernization. Modern lifestyle encourages people to travel to work by car, use elevators and other convenient forms of transportation instead of walking and cycling. In addition to that, many sedentary jobs such as office workers require to sit in front of computer eight hours or more. Long travel commute to work also make them tired and leave less time for physical activities.
On the other hand, as every coin has two sides. This problem also has several solutions. Firstly, employers should encourage their employees to become more physical active by providing exercises facilities, organizing fitness activities and allowing short exercise break during work hours. Furthermore, companies can also contribute to promote exercise by encouraging their staff to travel to work by walk or cycle by providing cycle parking walking paths and cycling lanes so that people have convenient access to exercise. Another important solution is a family should encourage one another to wake up early morning and go for an exercise. For example, government has made numerous parks with the facilities of cycling machine and other gym machines available to the society to do regular exercise in the community park.
In conclusion, long working hours, sedentary jobs and modern technology and busy lifestyle are the main reasons of many workers do not exercise sufficiently. Not only employers but also family members and government should work together to make physical activities easier and accessible. By making small and consistence changes people can improve their health and reduce the risk of health problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. For instance, you discuss sedentary jobs and long commutes as reasons, and suggest employer-led initiatives and government infrastructure as solutions. However, some points could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band; for example, the mention of 'family' as a solution is a bit brief compared to the employer section. Overall, the position is clear throughout, and the response fulfills all requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition to that' to link ideas. However, there are some minor issues with cohesion, such as the sentence fragment 'On the other hand, as every coin has two sides.' This is a stylistic error that disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the causes from the solutions, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'sedentary jobs', 'modernization', and 'convenient forms of transportation'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'become more physical active' (should be 'physically active') and 'travel to work by walk' (should be 'walk to work'). While you attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary, some phrasing remains slightly repetitive or imprecise. The errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you show control over basic grammar, there are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'employee do not get' (employees), 'a family should encourage' (families), and 'government has made' (the government). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and phrasing issues, such as 'long workday' (a long workday). Despite these errors, the meaning is always clear, and the grammatical mistakes do not significantly hinder the reader's understanding of your points.
