Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today’s world, most of the individuals do professional jobs and they do less or no exercise as a result they have some concerns about their health. There are several reasons behind not doing exercise, and appropriate solutions exist to reduce its impact.
The first and foremost reason about why people don’t get much exercise is time. People do 9 to 5 job they got home get relaxed have some food and sleep and this routine repeats they cannot find free time to do exercise. Moreover, they do have family and they want to spend their time with family after job. In addition, if they get free time for like 2 days they go for holidays with their friends. Some people only believes in earning money and enjoying life they do not focus on wasting time in gym and doing exercise.
There are some solutions to solve this problem such as government should provide more knowledge about exercise and health issues. If everyone will be aware of health issues they will take exercise seriously. Moreover, some people don’t have enough money to do exercise in gym if they will remove this charges more people will get encouraged to do so. Secondly, from my experience I have seen people following the same steps as there role models do on social media so if influencers will start posting awareness about health issues and encourage people to do exercise that will impact good.
In conclusion, I believe that today people get less time to exercise but if they spend only one 1 hour in that they will be free from any health issues that they are facing.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation regarding time constraints is repetitive, and the suggestion about government-provided knowledge is vague. The conclusion introduces a new, simplistic idea about spending one hour exercising, which does not fully synthesize the previous points. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples and elaborate on the logical connection between the causes and the proposed solutions. The position is clear, but the depth of analysis is limited, which is characteristic of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Moreover', 'In addition', 'Secondly'). There are instances where the flow between sentences is abrupt, such as in the second paragraph where the transition from work routines to family time and then to holidays feels disjointed. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of varied linking words makes the progression feel a bit stilted. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring smoother logical links between sentences would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrases like 'do exercise' and 'get free time' repeatedly. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'wasting time in gym' and 'remove this charges', which sound unnatural. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary (e.g., 'sedentary lifestyle', 'work-life balance', 'subsidized facilities') limits the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to health and professional life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include missing articles ('do 9 to 5 job'), subject-verb agreement ('Some people only believes'), and incorrect verb forms ('if they will remove this charges'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with run-on sentences that lack necessary commas or conjunctions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To progress, you should work on sentence boundary control and ensure consistent use of articles and verb tenses throughout your writing.
