Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people who are working do not get sufficient time to exercise during the working hours or in their free time which results in a number of health related issues. There are certain factors which contribute to little or no time for exercise like working environment or personal negligence.
The work environment in most of the countries is very hectic and keep the employees fully occupied. Many people can not manage to take out time in their tough schedule and get tired after job hours to do some exercise. This eventually results in sedentary lifestyle which can negatively affect the health. Moreover, on weekends, they have a lot of work to manage at their homes which leaves no time to involve in physical activity. Busy routine makes a person lazy and inactive which leads to sedentary behaviour. They prefer to spend quality time by watching TV or using social media while relaxing instead of doing exercise or walk. These habits contribute to heart diseases like hypertension, atherosclerosis and musculoskletal issues like weak muscles and joints.
Governments should encourage workplaces to dedicate some time specifically for wellness of employees which can include breaks for walk or group exercises. They should also initiate awareness campaigns reflecting on the importance of exercise and healthy lifestyle. Moreover, there should be more community centers where people can access these facilities which motivates to engage in group activities.
In conclusion, a balanced approach that combines an indivdual effort with workplace support is the most effective way to live a healthy and happy life. This leads to a prosperous society which is physically and mentally well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the 'hectic work environment' and 'personal negligence,' and the solutions, including 'workplace wellness' and 'community centers,' are practical. However, the development is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate further on the consequences or the implementation of the solutions. For instance, explaining how a specific type of workplace policy could be incentivized would add depth. Overall, the response is clear and maintains a consistent position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover,' 'In conclusion,' and 'This eventually results in' are used to link ideas effectively. However, the transition between some sentences is slightly mechanical, and the use of referencing could be more varied to improve the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow, which meets the requirements for a solid band 7 performance.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'sedentary lifestyle,' 'atherosclerosis,' and 'musculoskeletal.' There are some minor issues with collocation and word choice, such as 'keep the employees fully occupied' (which could be 'keep employees fully engaged' or 'overburdened') and 'wellness of employees' (which would be better as 'employee wellness'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the control is not yet fully sophisticated. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly without any significant errors that impede understanding.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical slips, such as 'keep the employees' (should be 'keeps') and 'which motivates to engage' (which should be 'which motivates them to engage'). Additionally, 'indivdual' is a spelling error. Despite these occasional errors, the majority of your sentences are error-free, and your meaning is always clear. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are punctuated correctly. The current level of control is consistent with a band 6.5 or 7.0.
