Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is an undeniable fact that, in this fast-paced life, people are busy with their work life they do not have much time to do such physical activity in their daily routine. But here I am going to explain why people do not have much time to exercise and what they can do to solve this problem.
Firstly, in this busy life, people are doing their work on weekdays and on weekends they think they can chill or stay at home and talk with their friends or meet family members rather than doing such physical activity. They are bored of doing these routine things, and they feel they cannot do such exercise because they think they already did hard work in the office. Secondly, there is too much burden on anyone's life because, in this modern time, there is too much competition to work more and earn more money for a better lifestyle. and all are doing things like waking up and drinking coffee or tea, then following their daily routine, like going to the workplace, then at night coming home, eating dinner and sleeping; they do not have time to do anything.
There are solutions they can use to solve this problem. First of all, they can make a daily routine for whatever they need to complete, or they can exercise every morning or walk if they want, which can also motivate themself in make their life much better. Secondly, such workplaces need to provide an exercise room for the employees. Also, they can arrange such activity in which the gym sessions or games like cricket, so that they can be helpful for the employees.
I would like to conclude that there are so many reasons not to do such activities in the daily routine, but there are also benefits do it, so people need to understand about it and work on them. Because there is such a solution to work on everything, that is the most important thing in this generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why people do not exercise relies on repetitive descriptions of a 'busy life' rather than exploring deeper socio-economic or psychological factors. The solutions provided, such as 'make a daily routine' or 'provide an exercise room', are relevant but lack specific detail or examples to fully support the argument. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your ideas with more concrete examples or logical consequences, ensuring that the response feels fully developed rather than just a list of general observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions. For example, the sentence 'And all are doing things like waking up...' feels disconnected from the previous point about competition. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the pronoun 'them' lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive language such as 'busy life', 'do such activity', and 'better lifestyle'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'motivate themself in make their life' and 'there is such a solution to work on everything'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to health, workplace culture, and time management. Using more precise verbs and adjectives will help you express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'people are busy with their work life they do not have much time', which is a run-on sentence. There are also frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'the gym sessions or games like cricket, so that they can be helpful'. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with the use of periods and capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
